A vibrant workplace where creativity & innovation are positively encouraged
Spithead Business Centre was set up in the mid 1990s to provide much needed logistics and manufactoring space for the Isle of Wight. Over the last 20 years, it has become recognised as one of the major commercial centres on the island.
Positioned between the newly developed Aldi store and the recently expanded Morrisons Superstore in Lake on Newport Road, which is one of the busiest thoroughfares on the island, the area further benefits from a catchment population of over 25,000 people. It is therefore very strategically placed for commerce within East Wight.
Casper Douglas Properties' involvement with the landmark estate started in 2015 with the primary aim of securing the centre’s long term future through renovation and restoration. This is currently ongoing.
CDP are not new to the island having undertaken a number of projects over the last few years.
CDP are also active on the mainland having completed commercial and residential projects all over the UK including Cardiff, Windsor, London, Suffolk and North Yorkshire.
Spithead Business Centre is home to a number of logistics and production operations and has become a destination for printing, motor trade and tourist product businesses. Anchor tenants such as Culvertronic, Elis (laundry services), Howdens, DH Price, ATS, Design Invent Print (DIP) and Severnside Ltd, have added to the vibrant core tenant profile. It is this diversity that secures the estate’s long term future.
Recent development in the immediate area has seen the arrival of national brands such as Premier Inn, Aldi, KFC and Marstons' Merrie Gardens family pub which has further confirmed its status as an important commercial district on the Isle of Wight.
