SPITHEAD Business Centre was formed in the 1990s, replacing the Temperature's air conditioning factory.
The renovated commercial centre provided much needed logistics and manufactoring space for the East Wight business community.

It is positioned between the Aldi store and Morrisons Superstore on Newport Road in Lake, which is one of the busiest thoroughfares on the island with an immediate catchment population of over 25,000 people.
Casper Douglas Properties (CDP) bought the landmark estate in 2015 with plans to secure the centre’s long term future through renovation and restoration. This is currently ongoing as very necessary and important works are implemented.
CDP have undertaken a number of projects on the island over the last 20 years including renovating Dan’s Kitchen in St Helens (01983 872303) which it still owns today.

It has also established itself within the printing, motor trade and tourist product industries.
Anchor tenants such as Culvertronic, Elis (laundry services), Howdens, DH Price and Severnside Ltd, have created a varied core tenant mix. It is this diversity that has helped to secure the estate’s long term future.
With the arrival of Premier Inn, Aldi, KFC and Marstons Family Pub, Merrie Gardens, in the immediate area, Spithead Business Centre has confirmed its status as the most important commercial district within the area.
